Chief Executive Officer-King's College Hospital Charity
London/South East England
CLOSING DATE: 14-05-2018
Cadence Partners are currently engaged in the search for an exceptional Chief Executive to lead the Charity in its next exciting phase of development.
King’s College Hospital Charity is a fully independent charity, dedicated to funding projects that help King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to deliver world-class health care. As a catalyst for innovation and excellence, we identify opportunities to go ‘above and beyond’ NHS-funded services to deliver the very best outcomes for patients. Our work is varied, vital, visible and valuable. Our grants support staff development, foster clinical innovation, and enhance patient care. Our major projects are truly innovative and transformational and include development of the world’s first outdoor critical care facility, support for a Chair of Brain Injury Neuro Psychology, and new liver research laboratories.
As our new Chief Executive, you will have the opportunity to build on strong foundations put in place over the last three years to raise our profile and grow our income. We’re in the top 25% of hospital charities, with a £25m asset base, average annual income of £3.5m and a staff team of 15. Ultimately, you will drive, shape and deliver our vision, and lead in implementing a high quality strategy that will maximize our impact on patient care and deliver significantly more for our beneficiaries and key stakeholders.
This leadership role demands an exceptionally well-balanced skill set. While experience of working within the NHS or with/in an NHS or health focused charity is a positive advantage, it’s not essential. We’re interested in talking to candidates with a track record of growing, leading and delivering success for a charitable/not-for-profit organisation. You must have demonstrable ability to develop strategic partnerships, and the skills to effectively manage nuanced and diverse stakeholder relationships. Credible, committed, dedicated to progress, and a passionate advocate of our work, you will have the presence to lead, the vision and skills to guide, and the exceptional communication ability necessary to be an effective advocate and ambassador with donors, supporters, clinicians and senior figures in the Trust.
The projects that we fund make a remarkable difference to peoples’ lives, both in our local London communities, regionally, nationally and beyond. If you bring the strategic planning and engagement skills to lead the next phase of our development, we would like to hear from you.
