London/South East England
CLOSING DATE: 17-09-2018
Cadence Partners are delighted to announce their second retained search on behalf of King's College Hospital Charity.
Trustees – King’s College Hospital Charity
King’s College Hospital Charity is on a remarkable and rewarding journey. Since becoming independent in 2016, and establishing a dedicated fundraising team in 2017, we are making strong progress towards becoming a true strategic partner for the Foundation Trust, supporting it in delivering world-class care. We fund projects which go ‘above and beyond’ NHS-funded services in order to deliver the best outcomes for patients.
Our new fundraising team have already delivered some remarkable successes, including completion of a major appeal to fund exciting and innovative elements of the new Critical Care Unit at King’s. We have also developed ambitious plans to support King’s in further innovative projects over the next three years.
Moving forward, there is much to accomplish in both the short and longer-term. To support the charity in the next phase of our evolution, we are seeking to appoint four new Trustees within the following areas:
• Fundraising, marketing and communications;
• Grant making and impact evaluation;
• Finance and investments;
• Charity management or legal expertise.
We operate as a catalyst for innovation and excellence and as a Trustee, you will share our ambitions, act as an ambassador and ensure that we achieve our strategic objectives. You will also safeguard our reputation and ensure that the interests of the organisation are advanced appropriately and in alignment with regulatory frameworks.
Significant expertise within one of the above four areas is essential. However, we are looking for more than knowledge and experience. You must have genuine empathy for our charitable mission, with experience at Board-level. Your strategic thinking, prudent decision-making and good judgement must be demonstrable, and supported by a proven commitment to innovation, action and achieving the best outcomes for patients and the wider public.
