Job description

Every Future Foundation is a UK-based non-profit organisation dedicated to eradicating racism through educational initiatives. Originally known as “Breakfast Clubs Against Racism”, the foundation started by conducting anti-racism workshops for young people in South London. Over time, it has expanded its scope to include a range of programs designed for students, educators, and community members.

Today, the foundation offers various training programs for teachers, including racial literacy, understanding micro-aggressions, and incorporating anti-racist perspectives into school curricula. With a presence in seven UK cities, they have reached over 5,500 young people and engaged more than 1,000 educators across 60+ schools, building confidence and skills to challenge racism.

Every Future Foundation are now looking for a passionate and visionary individual to become the next Chair of their board of Trustees. In this pivotal role, you will lead the strategic direction of the foundation, shaping its future and expanding its reach. You will help to spearhead the development of a bold three-year plan, focusing on innovative ways to diversify EFF’s income streams and broaden the impact of their educator training programs. Your leadership will also be crucial in navigating a potential restructuring of the senior management team, including the recruitment of new key positions. By chairing Trustee meetings, you will ensure effective governance and drive collaborative decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business or non-profit strategy, with experience in financial management and income diversification. A deep commitment to anti-racism and fostering racial equity is essential. You should also possess leadership skills and experience in managing organisational growth, particularly in transitioning from a small to a medium-sized operation.

If you are inspired by EFF’s mission and excited about the opportunity to make a lasting impact, please send your CV and a short statement (250 words) on your understanding of racial equity in the UK and why you would like to apply for the role to Lara Sengupta at lara@everyfuturefoundation.co.uk.
