Job description

Being confident about managing your own money might not sound unusual. But for many young people, it’s a real challenge, and one which holds potentially major risks. Knowing where to go for money advice, and who to trust, is so much more than just good personal admin – it’s a building block of social mobility.

MyBnk is a leading financial education charity, working towards the creation of a financially capable population across all four nations of the UK. They support young people between the ages of 5 and 25, with a particular focus on those who can’t afford for things to go wrong. Their award-winning programmes are highly effective and well-regarded, and they've grown rapidly in recent years, but there’s still much more to do. Today’s young people face a far less predictable job market, with high rents, economic uncertainty, and an increasingly complex financial marketplace. So they want to extend their reach and impact by an order of magnitude in the next few years: and to do that, they need to develop a class-leading People and Culture strategy.

They're looking for an experienced, inspiring all-rounder who can lead a comprehensive culture change programme. Qualified to FCIPD or equivalent, candidates will bring an impressive track record of delivering lasting transformation in a purpose-driven context. Personally committed to MyBnk's ambitious mission, you’ll be able not only to articulate a compelling vision of where they're going, but also know how to engage and motivate colleagues to achieve it. Your professional repertoire must include a detailed grasp of people-related data, systems and processes, change management techniques, embedding values and behaviours, designing performance appraisal systems. You’ll also have a nuanced understanding of what great EDI looks like, and practical experience of developing an EVP.

MyBnk is dedicated to building an inclusive culture and working environment that promotes a sense of safety and belonging for its staff to feel supported to achieve their potential. They're striving to be an actively anti-racist organisation, and actively encourage applications from diverse, under-represented and racialised groups, including those with lived experience of the social cause they seek to address.
